Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Aurrigo International plc (Aurrigo) are collaborating to test the latest version of its electric-powered autonomous vehicle, Auto-DollyTug®, at Changi Airport.
Auto-DollyTug®, which has new ground handling capabilities and is more manoeuverable, will be put through different scenarios to assess its efficiency and speed when it comes to aircraft turnaround times.<

Changi Airport’s 2023 passenger traffic recovers to 86% of pre-Covid level, boosted by strong Q4 growth


Singapore Changi Airport handled 58.9 million passenger movements in 2023, representing 86% of the traffic recorded in 2019. Aircraft movements, which include landings and take-offs, totalled 328,000, as compared to 382,000 in 2019. Against a volatile global economic environment, airfreight throughput stood at 1.74 million tonnes for 2023, a year-on-year decline of 6%.

Changi Airport to reopen Runway 2 from 1 December 2023 at 0400 hours (Singapore time)

Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced today that Changi Airport will reopen Runway 2 for use from 1 December 2023 at 0400 hours (Singapore time). Runway 3, which was used during the closure of Runway 2, will concurrently be closed.
Runway 2 has been closed since 3 December 2020 for infrastructure works. With its reopening, Changi Airport will use both Runways 1 and 2 for operations.

Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.87 million passenger movements in September 2023. This was 89% of the passenger movements in September 2019. In terms of aircraft movements, a total of 27,800 landings and take-offs were recorded, about 89% of the September 2019 level. Airfreight throughput stood at 154,000 tonnes for the month, on par with what was carried in the same month last year.
