Tasman Cargo Airlines commences freighter services between Singapore and Australia

Singapore, 1 June 2021 – Tasman Cargo Airlines, a new freighter operator at Changi Airport, has launched scheduled freighter services between Singapore and Australia. The airline operates five weekly services on a Melbourne-Darwin-Singapore (bi-directional) route using a B767-300F aircraft. Tasman Cargo Airlines is the first Australia-based freighter operator with operations at Changi Airport.

Changi Airport remains open for air travel
Following the detection of COVID-19 cases at Changi Airport, all workers in Changi Airport’s Terminals 1 and 3, and Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel), have been undergoing mandatory COVID-19 tests in a special testing operation starting 9 May 2021. This is to quickly detect, isolate and treat any potential COVID-19 cases in the airport community.

India’s largest cargo airline SpiceJet launches scheduled freighter services between Singapore and India

India-headquartered airline, SpiceJet, has launched twice-weekly services between Singapore and three Indian cities. The carrier’s first flight from Chennai landed at Changi Airport on 20 February at 1115 hrs. Operated under SpiceJet’s cargo arm SpiceXpress using a B737F aircraft, the new services will provide additional airfreight capacity between Singapore and India.
