Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.78 million passenger movements in May, a 6.7% year-on-year increase. Aircraft movements were 4.1% higher at 30,220 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments held steady at 157,510 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.
Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.79 million passenger movements in April, a 9.2% year-on-year increase. Aircraft movements were 4.3% higher at 29,460 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments increased 7.2% to reach 164,530 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.
A new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) is set to be constructed at the eastern side of Seletar Airport. A tender for the construction of the new PTB has been called yesterday and construction is expected to begin in October this year.
