Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced today that it has appointed an architect and design consortium (Consortium) to pilot the overall architecture, design concept and construction of Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 (T4).
Singapore Changi Airport achieved its highest passenger traffic ever for the month of March when it registered 4.61 million passenger movements in March 2013, an increase of 7.7% over the same month last year. Holiday makers travelling over the Good Friday long weekend and the weekend prior contributed to the traffic growth. In tandem, aircraft movements grew by 5.3% to 28,400 flights.
Singapore Changi Airport is named as the World's Best Airport at the 2013 Skytrax World Airport Awards held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Geneva. It is the fourth time Changi Airport has achieved this top prize, last claiming victory back in 2010.
Golden Myanmar Airlines will begin daily services connecting Singapore via Yangon to Mandalay, the financial capital of Myanmar. Mandalay is a new city link for Changi Airport and brings to 47 the number of cities in Southeast Asia that Changi Airport is connected to. The new service by Golden Myanmar Airlines further enhances Changi Airport’s position as a key gateway to the region.
Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.12 million passenger movements in February 2013, an increase of 9.2% over the same month last year. Aircraft movements for the month grew by 4.2% to 25,900 flights. Travel demand was boosted by the Lunar New Year holidays which this year fell in February compared to January last year.

Air traffic movements for the month grew in tandem by 2.2% to 28,200 flights. The Lunar New Year holidays in January last year meant that there was a higher traffic base which affected the magnitude of growth last month.
