Changi Airport’s operating indicators for Q1 2024

Singapore Changi Airport registered 16.5 million passenger movements from January to March 2024, surpassing what was registered for the first quarter of 2019 (Q1 2019) by 0.5%. The airport handled 5.43 million, 5.35 million and 5.73 million passenger movements in January, February and March 2024 respectively. These were 96%, 104.3% and 101.7% compared to the same month in 2019.

Singapore Changi Airport handled 58.9 million passenger movements in 2023, representing 86% of the traffic recorded in 2019. Aircraft movements, which include landings and take-offs, totalled 328,000, as compared to 382,000 in 2019. Against a volatile global economic environment, airfreight throughput stood at 1.74 million tonnes for 2023, a year-on-year decline of 6%.
