Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.87 million passenger movements in September 2023. This was 89% of the passenger movements in September 2019. In terms of aircraft movements, a total of 27,800 landings and take-offs were recorded, about 89% of the September 2019 level. Airfreight throughput stood at 154,000 tonnes for the month, on par with what was carried in the same month last year.

SINGAPORE, 28 September 2023 – Changi Airport commences operations in the northern wing of Terminal 2 (T2) today after three and a half years of engineering works to extend the life of critical systems, and expansion works to bring Changi’s overall capacity to 90 million passengers per annum (mppa). T2’s handling capacity has increased by five mppa to 28 mppa.
