Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.58 million passenger movements in September 2016, a 3.7% year-on-year increase. Aircraft movements also grew by 3.0% at 29,330 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments rose 7.8% to reach 167,100 tonnes compared to the same period last year.
Plans for enhanced facilities for passengers travelling through Seletar Airport were unveiled today at the groundbreaking ceremony for the airport’s new terminal building.
A total of 13 companies in Changi Airport have joined hands with Changi Airport Group’s philanthropic arm, Changi Foundation, to offer 57 places for job attachments for NorthLight School students this year. Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced today the award of a S$1.107 billion contract to a joint venture formed by Hock Lian Seng Infrastructure and Sembcorp Design and Construction, for the second package of works relating to the development of a three-runway system at Singapore Changi Airport.
