Changi Airport Group (CAG) today made one lucky Singaporean a millionaire when 39 year-old Ivan Rantung, a former disc jockey with Singapore radio station Perfect 10, emerged the overall winner of the ‘Be a Changi Millionaire’ Grand Draw and bagged the grand prize of S$1 million in cash.

After crossing the 40-million passenger mark in mid- December, a strong finish during the year-end festive holiday season enabled Singapore Changi Airport to close a successful 2010 with more than 42.0 million passenger movements during the year. This is an increase of 13.0% over 2009, and surpasses the previous annual record of 37.7 million passenger movements recorded in 2008.
Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Singapore Post (SingPost) have introduced the Speedpost@Changi service at all three Changi Airport main terminals, following a successful two-month trial earlier. With the launch of the service, passengers departing from Changi will be able to courier hand-carried items they did not pack in their checked-in luggage but which are disallowed on board aircraft.
The stage is set for the crowning of the first ever Changi Millionaire. Coincidentally, the six finalists are all men, married with children, even though the profile of shoppers at Changi Airport is evenly divided between the two genders.

Changi Airport Group will welcome Hong Kong Airlines to its growing network of airlines later this month. Hong Kong Airlines will operate both freighter and passenger services to Singapore from 14 January 2011 and 15 January 2011 respectively. It is the second carrier to operate passenger services to Changi Airport and the first to commence freighter services to Singapore this year.
